Tsubi Soup was founded with a mission to make authentic, wholesome Japanese soups accessible and convenient. In a world where quick snacks and meals usually mean settling for processed ingredients and lackluster flavors, we’re here to provide a better option.

Our freeze-dried soup cubes are lovingly crafted in small batches with unprocessed, clean ingredients sourced throughout the northern and southern tips of Japan. We use traditional recipes to ensure that our soups deliver the true flavors of Japan.

Our Origin Story

Tsubasa “Tsubi” Nishitani is a mother of two, a lifelong health enthusiast, and a passionate soup aficionado. When Tsubi started to explore plant-based, whole food diets, she struggled to find quick and convenient meals and snacks that were both delicious and nutritious. She searched far and wide for instant soups made from wholesome ingredients, but they were all loaded with fillers, preservatives, meats, and extracts of unknown origin, additives, artificial colors and flavors, MSG, seed oils, and long lists of all sorts of unpronounceable ingredients.

Tsubi decided that if she wanted better instant soups, she would have to go ahead and make them herself. So, she did! She purchased a food dehydrator and started using veggies and other ingredients to craft wholesome Japanese soups in her tiny home kitchen. Tsubi’s passion project resonated with other foodies and health-conscious folks from all walks of life. She realized she had created something truly special.

In 2017, after a period of burnout at her corporate job, Tsubi decided it was time to take a leap of faith; Tsubi Soup was born. The response and reviews were incredible! Tsubi’s instant soups were an instant hit. Tsubi Soup fans all around the world begged for new flavors, so Tsubi kept experimenting with new ingredients and recipes, a labor of love she still continues today.
